We have a lot of work to do
Went on Jeff Denham's page today. This is what I found! We have all been telling him we want to keep our ACA. I shrunk this down cause it was so huge. And while other republicans have been having town hall meetings! This guy is in hiding. I know he left DC Thursday night. I know because he changed his photo op with the Gratton kids from Friday to Thursday. So he doesn't care what we want. He is more worried he might upset Mitch.But the longer he take to face his constituents the madder they'll be. Read in the Bee where he says he's not worried, he won by a good margin.
We are going to a MDO meeting Thursday in Denair. He was on twitter encouraging us to make his meetings. I replied to his tweet with a simple question “Will you actually show up?” Not really expecting a reply. He keeps talking like he's gonna make one. He might show up, but no way to a town hall.
Today was a pretty good day in DC. My granddaughter had the honor of helping place the wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Solider. Forgot to ask but I hope they were able to get to the Iwo Jima Memorial. Last year while Ruth and Gavin were there, it was the weekend Anton Scalia passed away. Seems something is always happening. Ruth sent me a picture of the White House, they haven't taken down a lot of the fencing and structures from the inauguration. Seems like with Trump in office the government is going at a slow crawl. I get my family back tomorrow.
Looks like Trump new EO on immigration may be as ambitious as the first. With that loss on the first one, he sure has started going full bore with his deportation of undocumented people. Says he’s just taking out the “bad hombres.” In response to question, Trump says increase in anti-Semitic acts by SUPPORTERS IN HIS NAME is caused by left. Wow. Then Trump, asked about rise in anti-Semitism, says: "I just want to say that we are very honored by the victory we had. 306 electoral votes." The guy is so detached from reality! Then today he tweets: The so-called angry crowds in home districts of some Republicans are in numerous cases, planned by liberal activists. Sad!
It's been eventful this week, that guy Milo finally stuck his foot in his mouth too deep. Saw him on Bill Mahrs Friday. To me he didn't seem to have any real convictions and just wants to shock people. That last comment was bad! I still think he should have been allowed to speak at Berkeley a few weeks ago. Berkeley was the place free speech was fought for. It was the place where in 1964 Mario Savio climbed up to speak to demonstrators. Then later when he gave the famous “bodies on the gears” speech. The step at Sproul Hall Steps are known as Mario Savo’s Steps, with a marker. It was in Sproul Plaza that the riot over Milo was. Kind of ironic, free speech and all. Thing is Milo’s not worth it! Funny CPAC had invited him to speak, but then you know the pedophilia thing. Funny till then the religious right was always defended him. But it gave me a chance to write a few words about one of my hero's, now he was all about free speech, even for Milo too.
